John's Inspiration
How Far Do You Look? is about looking ahead—anticipating what’s around the corner and embracing the future with intention. Birds live by an internal rhythm, guided by the seasons and instinct, and in many ways, we do the same. As I painted this piece, I found myself reflecting on the future of my own art career, but I hope it resonates differently with each viewer. I want this question to inspire people to look beyond the present moment—not just at what’s right in front of them, but deep within themselves. To plan, to dream, to work toward something meaningful. To have something on the horizon that fuels excitement and purpose.
