John's Inspiration

This piece came out of the idea that we’re not separate from nature, we’re part of it. Not observing it, not outside of it. In it. The owl stands as a symbol of awareness and quiet intelligence, meeting the viewer with a direct, steady gaze. Its form is built from layered color, pattern, and structure, blending organic and abstract elements to reflect the complexity within both the natural world and ourselves.

At the end of it, everything folds back into one idea. There isn’t really a line between us and nature. We are nature.
