Ever wonder how time seems to fly by in an instant? If you have kids, then you probably do. Watching my 12-year-old son grow, both physically and mentally, has been one of the greatest joys of my life. He’s nearly eye to eye with me now, and every day, he amazes me—his sense of humor, artistic talent & creativity, kindness, and the quiet confidence with which he navigates the world.

I feel incredibly lucky to witness his transformation—from a newborn in my arms to the young man he’s becoming. This painting, "The Speed It Travels", captures that feeling—this little Mountain Bluebird, once nestled safely in its nest unable to fly, now zipping through wildflowers, soaring through space and time, exploring its world. It’s a reminder of how quickly the journey unfolds and how beautiful it is to watch someone you love find their own path.
